Jeremy grew up in Middle Tennessee on his family’s farm nestled next to the Cumberland River. As Jeremy grew up farming he quickly learned hunting as a way of life. He started deer hunting at the age of 8 but as a teenager quickly found the love for waterfowl. Jeremy also dedicates a large amount of his time growing the outdoor industry. In running his small business, Jeremy makes a point to find the love of the outdoors with his customers. Jeremy started a Facebook page, Mid tenn outdoorsmen, which quickly grew to over 300 members whom all share the same passion for the outdoors. Jeremy also actively uses Social Media to promote Bloody Water Boyz and other companies he represents. While staffing with Toxic Calls, he has the opportunity to become a mentor to the younger generation. In doing this it has enabled him to share his love of the sport, the fellowship with friends and to teach the next generation about sportsmanship and ethical hunting.

Bio

Co-Owner/Guide DeadLeafn Guide service. They specialize in waterfowl hunts of all types, from field to water, hunting ducks and Canada geese, to Spring Conservation Snow goose hunts.

Growing up in Northwest Iowa, Greg has been an avid water fowler and hunter since he was introduced to the outdoors at an early age. Greg enjoys all that hunting has to offer, from laying in a field of snow, to sitting on a cool foggy morning next to his favorite pothole.

Growing up, Greg’s father had a rule, “You can’t shoot birds if you don’t know how to call them.” Needless to say, Greg picked up his 1st duck call at the age of 5. He spent many of mornings hunting with his father blowing that call while no ducks were around….didn’t want to spook them with all of his squeaks and over blowing. Since then it has been his passion. Greg spends many hours calling ducks and geese from behind the “windshield” while scouting birds, traveling to hunting destinations, and yes, annoying his wife from time to time. He has the same rule with his sons….they are still practicing.

Hunting mallards over water is one of Greg’s favorite ways to hunt, but field hunting those same mallards and geese comes in a close 2nd. In the fall and spring, Greg travels from central Canada to Southern Arkansas in pursuit of ducks and geese. He has an itch that needs to be satisfied.

Through his many years of hunting, he’s learned a lot of things through hard work and lots of trial and error. Scouting, concealment, calling and decoy placement are the most important things to be a successful waterfowler.

Other than ducks and geese, Greg also enjoys hunting turkeys and white tails. Greg is passionate about spending time outdoors with his family and friends. Conservation is the key to their success. Supporting the causes dedicated to preserving wildlife is a role Greg will pass on to future generations and anyone who wants to listen…..

Way back when Trapper was 10 years old, he started waterfowl hunting with his uncle Dave. After his first hunt, he was hooked! There was rarely a day missed during any season since. This is what he lives and breathes for! When he was old enough to hunt with his buddies, he and his best friend Hunter were dedicated, driven, and unstoppable. You would think the frigid cold weather would make you turn a cheek…but not when it comes to chasing the whistling wings and deep thunder honks. Hunting the world’s greatest wetlands and fields in Northern Utah, the Pacific flyway migration is right at his fingertips and right out his front door.

When he’s not out with his friends hunting, he’s out with his family scouting for the next weekends hunt. When he looks back and thinks about how far he’s come, it’s incredible to think how hard he’s pushed his passion to the next level. Waterfowl is in his blood. It’s a drive that pushes him after only two hours of sleep on opening morning. The drive that motivates him to see those wings cupped into a spread! This is what he lives for… WATERFOWL!

From the day Chris shot his first duck while hunting with his uncle at age 15, Chris has been obsessed with waterfowl hunting and the outdoors. When Chris isn’t using his 27 years of experience pursuing waterfowl, you will find him somewhere in the outdoors with his 8 year old son, showing him what Mother Nature has to offer.

While Chris was growing up on the Mississippi Flyway, he was mesmerized by the massive migrations of waterfowl, both spring and fall, and it is what continues to draw him into the marsh. Whether it’s a greenhead responding to his call, geese with their landing gear down, or a flock of divers buzzing the decoys…every day in the outdoors is a blessing for him. Hunting the fields in Central Wisconsin for early season Canadian Geese, Wood Ducks in Northern Wisconsin or chasing waterfowl on the Mississippi River into December’s late season frigid temps while breaking ice just to get to his spot, Chris always takes any advantage to chase his love of water fowling.

The camaraderie of waterfowl hunting with his family and friends is the driving factor that continues to draw him into the outdoors. Those special moments…harvesting his “First”, witnessing a friend harvest that one species they’ve been pursuing for a lifetime as well as taking youth hunters out while seeing the same emotions on their face that he felt as a child will never be forgotten.

Favorite Method of Hunting

Big water for divers and back wood swamps for puddle ducks.

Bio

Josh’s outdoor obsession started when he was 12 years old on the opening day of small game season in Pennsylvania. His father Richard took him to a local farm to pursue pheasants. They hunted hard all morning without any luck. There was one more fence row they could hit on their way back to their vehicle. About half way through, a beautiful rooster flushed out of a brush pile. Josh pulled his shot gun to his shoulder, drew a bead, and pulled the trigger. The bird folded. After that day Josh was hooked to wing shooting. His waterfowl obsession didn’t start until later in life.  Josh joined the United States Marine Corps when he was 21 and being station in North Carolina provided a lot of waterfowl hunting opportunities. That is when he turned into a Waterfowl Junkie. He eats, sleeps, and breathes waterfowl. Whether it’s hunting divers on the big water or greenheads in a flooded field, he does it all. “There’s nothing like sitting in your blind looking out over the water and watching the ducks commit to your decoys. That is as close to heaven on earth that you’re ever going to get.”

Ken has spent countless hours tucked back in a blind watching ducks with his chocolate lab, Nitro, to further increase his knowledge of their natural habits, introducing several people to waterfowl hunting along the way.

He also enjoys bow fishing during the off season.

“Being on the BWB staff is fuel to the fire of my waterfowl and addiction! When you have a great group of friends that share the same passion as you with astounding knowledge and capabilities to teach newcomers to the sport of hunting while ensuring that our future generations have the same opportunities as we do now, then I believe we have done our job as a hunter!”

Hunting is a way of life when you grow up in the hills of west-central Wisconsin.  Brad started deer hunting with his brothers and father at age 12, and was introduced later to duck hunting by his brother.  From day one Brad was hooked and the obsession never subsided, and soon his focus shifted away from deer and entirely to waterfowl.

For Brad, there is no better experience in the outdoors than watching a duck cup their wings and drop their landing gear, outsmarting birds who have seen every setup imaginable on their long journey south.  Although the harvesting takes a back door to the stories, laughter, and overall camaraderie that takes place in a duck blind.

When Brad is not in the marsh he is spending time with his family, and at every opportunity introducing his 3 year old son and 6 year old daughter to the outdoors.

Zach grew up on the banks of the Mississippi River his entire life. He started out sitting in the deer stand with his grandfather when he was 9 and later deer hunting at the age of 12.  Zach was an avid hunter of both waterfowl and deer until the addiction of waterfowl took full control. Ultimately he ended his deer hunting career to focus strictly on waterfowl hunting.

After all the years of hunting, Zach realizes that a person could go out and throw a few decoys out and maybe harvest a duck, but in order to be truly successful all the factors must be there.  Calling, blind cover, decoy placement…it all takes time in the swamp to figure out what the birds want to see.  It also does not hurt to move the spread around a few times to increase the effectiveness of his passion.

Zach has a 7 year old son that has been out in the swamps with him since he was 3.  Zach is not sure who carries the passion more, but does know one thing…duck hunting is thick in both their blood.

Rich Gonzales started his outdoor obsessions in the green mountains of Vermont. At a young age fishing with his Grandpa and archery whitetail hunting with his dad and brother he knew he was meant for the sportsman lifestyle. In 2002 as a newlywed, he was stationed in northern Utah with the U.S. Air Force where he still resides hooked on the great four seasons of hunting at the reach of his fingertips. His love for archery big game hunting, antler shed hunting, and coyote hunting was the norm until that first waterfowl invite. It wasn’t long after that Rich was hooked and in the marsh of the Great Salt Lake chasing that crave we all see in a natural waterfowl hunter.

You can find him 3 to 4 times a week either lying in a cornfield, standing in the marsh, in a coffin blind on the GSL, or jump shooting rivers when the freeze hits. Representing the passion of the outdoors for the BWB has driven him to new levels of fulfilling his goals as an outdoorsman. The military taught him that being part of a team was important because it means you are part of something bigger than yourself. With that train of thought Rich actively enjoys teaching the next generation the ropes to the lifestyle we all love by taking kids out on the youth hunts to see that passion sink its teeth in. He lives by “Dream BIG and Hunt”!
